主講人簡介：

Gary McCulloch，英國著名教育史研究專家，首任西蒙教育史講座教授（2003至今），原英國教育史學會主席（2005-2007），原國際知名刊物History of Education主編（1996-2003），原英國高等教育基金委員會科研評估小組專家（1996-2008）；現任英國教育研究會（BERA）主席（2017-2019），英國教育權威刊物British Journal of Educational Studies主編，國際教育史常務會議（International Standing Conference for the History of Education）核心成員，英國社會科學院院士、皇家人文科學學會會員、皇家曆史學會會員。1980年畢業于劍橋大學基督學院，先後獲得曆史學學士、碩士和博士學位。出版了The Struggle for the History of Education，Historical Research in Educational Settings，Documentary Research in Education, History and the Social Sciences，Education, History, and Social Change: The Legacy of Brian Simon，The Politics of Professionalism: Teachers and the Curriculum等著作22部（其中獨著10部、合著6部，主編6部），在British Journal of Educational Studies，British Educational Research Journal，Oxford Review of Education，History of Education等學術刊物和書刊發表論文80餘篇。
